Leithen Vale Sports Club Fun Day Set for a Fantastic Summer Celebration

Saturday 22 August 2026 promises to be a day packed with sport, laughter and community spirit as Leithen Vale Sports Club hosts its annual Fun Day.

Families, friends, players and supporters of all ages are invited to join us for a fun-filled day of football, hockey, games and entertainment at the club. With activities running throughout the day, the event is designed to showcase our thriving youth sections while providing something for everyone to enjoy.

The day will kick off with a series of sporting taster sessions and games:

11:00am – 12:00pm

• U14 Girls Football
• 2020s Plus
• 2021 Football Taster Session

12:00pm – 1:00pm

• U12 Girls Football
• 2018s Mixed Football
• U10/U12 Hockey

1:00pm – 2:00pm

• U8/U10 Girls Football

Alongside the sporting activities, visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions including a BBQ, slip ‘n’ slide, cake and candy stall, face painting, and a raffle with fantastic prizes up for grabs.

One of the highlights of the day will be the ever-popular Dunk Tank, where several members of the club's coaching team will be taking their turn in the hot seat. Supporters will have the chance to test their aim and send coaches splashing into the water throughout the day. Adding to the excitement, Club Chairman Paul Graham has also agreed to take a turn in the Dunk Tank, giving everyone an opportunity to help raise funds for the club while enjoying plenty of laughs.

Speaking ahead of the event, Club Chairman Paul Graham said:

"Our Fun Day is always one of the highlights of the year. It's a fantastic opportunity for players, families, coaches, volunteers and the wider community to come together and celebrate everything that's great about our club. We're looking forward to welcoming new faces, enjoying a day packed with activities, and raising funds to support the continued development of our teams. I've even agreed to take my place in the Dunk Tank, so there will definitely be a few people hoping their aim is better than their football skills!"

Whether you are a current member, a former player, or someone interested in joining Leithen Vale Sports Club, the Fun Day is the perfect opportunity to meet coaches, make new friends and experience the welcoming atmosphere that makes the club such an important part of the local community.
